Alice is an established vocal coach in Surrey with lessons available both in person and online. Her practice focuses on vocal heath and vocal technique along with musical concepts and harmony. She runs a selection of workshops and choirs across the London and Surrey regions. Coaching & Workshops Alice has worked as a vocal coach, workshop leader, and choral arranger & conductor since 2015 and has since honed her craft, bringing the highest quality to every sessions she leads Alice began her coaching journey as a one to one tutor which lead her to jobs in various establishments including working with Bromley Vocal school. In her time as a vocal coach she has learnt invaluable skills in pedagogy and has studied the voice in great detail to ensure she is providing up to date technical advice and guidance to her clients. Her clients come from a range of backgrounds and age groups each with their own needs and preferences. Alice's sessions are very student centred and focus on healthy voice application along with awareness of the body, voice and technical concepts. She has featured in international festivals and shows; and has featured as a singer on numerous televised occasions including with the BBC. Alice developed her unique sound and soulful tone through combinations of classical and contemporary repertoire and training. She began from a young age singing in her local community and being a featured performer within cathedrals across the south. She continued pursuing her vocal studies at the prestigious Academy of Contemporary Music where she studied with top vocal practitioners including: Christopher Johnson, Joshua Alamu, Jono Mcneil, Katie Hector and Rebecca Morton and graduated with a 1st class Vocal Performance degree. Alice has worked worldwide alongside some of the finest musicians in the country both live, for TV, recording and within venues across the UK, including Ronnie Scott’s and Her Majesty’s Theatre, and overseas onboard cruise ships and international tours. She has recorded at the world famous Metropolis Studios in Chiswick and has been a featured vocalist with many artists across the south. Most recently she has toured with The Commitments, sung with renowned jazz musicians; performed with ACM Gospel Choir and performed internationally with A Capella choir “Rule of Six”. She has featured in international festivals and shows; and has featured as a singer on numerous televised occasions including with the BBC. ​ Alice developed her unique sound and soulful tone through combinations of classical and contemporary repertoire and training. She began from a young age singing in her local community and being a featured performer within cathedrals across the south. She continued pursuing her vocal studies at the prestigious Academy of Contemporary Music where she studied with top vocal practitioners including: Christopher Johnson, Joshua Alamu, Jono Mcneil, Katie Hector and Rebecca Morton and graduated with a 1st class Vocal Performance degree. ​ Alice has worked worldwide alongside some of the finest musicians in the country both live, for TV, recording and within venues across the UK, including Ronnie Scott’s and Her Majesty’s Theatre, and overseas onboard cruise ships and international tours. She has recorded at the world famous Metropolis Studios in Chiswick and has been a featured vocalist with many artists across the south. Most recently she has toured with The Commitments, sung with renowned jazz musicians; performed with ACM Gospel Choir and performed internationally with A Capella choir “Rule of Six”. ​ Working alongside a variety of musicians Alice and her associated acts have a vast repertoire spanning across genres to suit any occasion or venue. Alice is set with the skillset, versatility and determination to make an impact on this ever changing industry as a musician, educator and performer. ​ ​ Coaching & Workshops | Alice Williams Music Coaching & Workshops Alice has worked as a vocal coach, workshop leader, and choral arranger & conductor since 2015 and has since honed her craft, bringing the highest quality to every sessions she leads Alice began her coaching journey as a one to one tutor which lead her to jobs in various establishments including working with Bromley Vocal school. In her time as a vocal coach she has learnt invaluable skills in pedagogy and has studied the voice in great detail to ensure she is providing up to date technical advice and guidance to her clients. Her clients come from a range of backgrounds and age groups each with their own needs and preferences. Alice's sessions are very student centred and focus on healthy voice application along with awareness of the body, voice and technical concepts. Whether it be a student looking to take music exams, a professional artist or a hobbying performer, Alice can tailor her lessons and approach to help you achieve your vocal goals effectively and efficiently. ​ In 2022 Alice achieved status as a Vocal Habilitation Professional after qualifying as a Vocal Health First Aider with Vocal Health Education. She takes these skills and applies them to all elements of her coaching meaning her approach is informed and personal to each singer she works with. in addition she had trained with industry specialists including: Vocology in Practice, BAST & Teach Voices with Chris Johnson. ​ In addition to her coaching, Alice offers a bespoke warm up and vocal exercise service to help you maintain your practice goals and get your voice working even when you aren't in lesson. Some example scales are included below for your reference. ​ When it comes to workshops and group singing opportunities, Alice has a passion for vocal harmony and works with choirs - both professional and community - across the country, providing bespoke arrangements and a high level of expertise. Whether it's contemporary, music theatre, classical, you name it, it's possible! Currently Alice runs two choirs in the Surrey area: Singology Thames Ditton & Chertsey Choir. These groups focus on community building and enhancing musical skills in a safe environment.
